You are invited to a special Adult Forum led by the rector this Sunday, April 2nd, at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Come and hear about the new strategic plan approved by the vestry. These critical goals will help guide our program and ministry decisions in the years to come.

Holy Week Family Devotional Parent Workshop

Join us at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, April 2nd, in the Christian Education Commons for a time of discussion during which we will create Holy Week story coins for use at household meals during Holy Week, a very simple way to hold a family devotional at mealtimes from Palm Sunday through Easter morning. Episcopal Visitation

On Sunday, March 26, the Rt. Rev. Anne Hodges-Copple will be with us to lead Adult Forum at 9:00 a.m. and to preside over confirmation and Holy Eucharist at the 10:00 a.m. service. Following the 10:00 a.m. service we will have a reception for the Bishop and confirmands. We ask that you bring finger foods to share for the reception. Please drop off your donations in the kitchen prior to the 10:00 service on Sunday, March 26.

Wednesday Evenings in Lent

Wednesday evenings in Lent, 6:30-7:30 p.m., our Lenten program Christ Before the Powers: how does sin shape the world? Wednesday, March 15: The Rev. Jemonde Taylor, Rector of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church– St. Ambrose was founded in February 1868 in Raleigh as a ministry to the recently emancipated persons of African ancestry. Jemonde and members of his parish will tell the story of present-day problems they are having with their bulidings and grounds and how those are tied to racial division going back to the late 1800s.

Children’s Lenten Programming

Children’s Lenten Study Programming will meet in the Commons for ages 4-10 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Children over 10 can gather in a classroom in the Commons set up for homework or to play board games. To request nursery care for children under 4, please complete the form on the children’s page of Holy Family’s website under the heading “Parish Nursery”. All are invited to come ahead of time to join in Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. and Soup Supper in the Parish Hall at 5:50 p.m.

Outdoor Workday

Saturday, March 25, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon, will be our first outdoor workday for 2017. We will prepare for spring weather by trimming of shrubs and trees, fertilizing, mulching, and dividing and transplanting some overgrown plants. We have tools, but remember your work gloves.
